15 Year

Dear Epiphany,

It has been a couple pretty amazing weeks since the last time I communicated with you. We’ve had “0” cases of COVID-19 on our campuses (students, faculty or staff), we enjoyed a gorgeous Spring Break, we were able to loosen our protocols on both campuses related to the virus, and this week our Henderson campus (grades K-5) was able to go back to a 5-day week with our classes reunited from the smaller nests we had employed all year. Add to that the beautiful spring-like weather we’ve been enjoying and I don’t have anything to complain about!

You might remember from communication you received from the school a couple weeks ago that we are hoping to continue to ease restrictions on both campuses; based, of course, on North Carolina and Epiphany continuing to see positive trends. We will keep you informed if we can make those changes, but we are excited about the possibilities. We can’t thank you enough for the way each of you has made this possible.

Hard to believe that in just a couple weeks our Upper School students will be taking their AP (Advanced Placement) exams, our Seniors will move into Faith in Action where they serve our community in different ways for the last few weeks of their Epiphany experience, and we are only 7 weeks away from the end of the school year.

You might notice this week if you drive onto the Trent Campus that the sign board is a statement of appreciation for our teachers and all they have done this year to be able to have "on site" classes. I thought it appropriate to put that sign up this week as we approach Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-7. I am so glad that our PTO has chosen to celebrate the week again this year and hope that you will join in the celebration and appreciation.

I’m not sure I can express enough gratitude to God for how this year has gone. Walking into this year we had no idea how it was going to go, and as we start the process of wrapping up the year we look back and just say “Thank You!” We do hope that the 2021-2022 school year will be more “normal” (whatever that means!), but we can’t come to the end of this year without realizing we have been blessed.

Indeed. And may you continue to receive His blessings!

Dwight
